Inclusion

Inclusive education, to me, represents the embodiment of equity and diversity within the spaces of learning. It is a philosophy that ensures all students, regardless of their differences, have the opportunity to learn together, fostering empathy, understanding, and a sense of belonging among students. Personally, I think an inclusive classroom has to start with the teacher, meaning that it our responsibility to open our hearts and minds to all walks of life. This should not only be in the walls of the classroom, but also in ones personal life and personal values!

I believe this cohort epitomizes what it means to be inclusive. We have all become good friends over this past year, and enjoy learning more about each other and hearing our stories. the first step to be an inclusive teacher is to be an inclusive person.
